August - Busy as usual and HOT! this year seems hotter than before with temperatures for 2 days reaching 40c thankfully it did 'nt last too long although the island did suffer with forest fires on the west coast thankfully a long way from us, it did a lot of damage to the village of Masca a favourite place for a lot of you like too visit during your stay. Thank you to all who mailed to ask if we were OK , its nice to be thought of. As you will see by my last posting a Hammerhead was seen on Paraisio dive site it was up 'close and personal' swimming right past the divers less than a meter away, a great experience for all except Graham who had his head under a rock and Keith Skeetch who was fumbling with his camera ( cant wait to see the photos Keith). Visibility in the last few days has been very good after the high winds and choppy sea's of late and the sea is back to its lovely calm self, long may it last. Our Red Sea trip is fully booked and bursting at the seams, sorry we had to disappoint some of you , just have to wait for the next one possibly June next year after the South Africa experience.
Special thanks to the Wagstaff family and Rob for
providing an entertaining week whilst they competed their Open Water
Courses, well done to you all, and too all the divers who hated putting
on those wetsuits in the heat.
JULY 31st: Sighted today at Paraisio dive site, Hammerhead shark YES Hammerhead shark approx 1 meter and a half long........... Never know what you are going to see in Tenerife !!!!! Message for all the group on the SUDAN TRIP Gary Aryton wants to thank all who sponsored him for his challenge last week here are a couple of photos to prove he made it, WELL DONE GARY..... He took part in and successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge at the weekend. That's the three tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden respectively) in 24 hours, in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign. They actually completed the challenge in 23hrs 50mins, so they had loads of time to spare!!!!!! Once again - well done Gary and see you soon for some relaxing diving.................

and explore the cave in Palm Mar with us, the article will be in
Sports Diver July issue, don't miss it. Our regular divers will
remember this cave, it has a cross outside and is on the Las Moreanas
dive site, a popular dive location, now you can read about its hidden
Few family pictures : Rio our grandson doing his Discover Scuba in the pool and then off for a dive with the friendly turtles at Puertito. Penny our UK agent just checking out the new pool measurements with Graham, does she look confused !!!
Dave on his skydiving
adventure - think we prefer you diving though. If anybody is visiting
Broughton in Cumbria then you must visit the owners of BESWICKS
Resturant and meet these two lovely people Dave and Christine Roe -
great food too
Need a strong heart for this hobby !!!!!
Back in Tenerife Easter - Thank for visiting & finding the shark tooth, Bob, Mary, Roy, Susan, Martin and Oliver.
Michelle well done once more
on completing those Sports Diver skills
And to Paul for the great Geordie Banter - what did you say Graham !!!!! SUDAN TRIP 2007
Sudan
lived up to its rightful acclaim's ! Loads of sharks, sharks and sharks,
unspoilt dive sites without loads of other boats around, the very
interesting Cousteau project, and the icing on the cake the Umbria,
Graham said he could of spent at least a couple of days just exploring
this lovely wreck ( bigger than the Thistlegorm ) Funny moments,
James's "security incident" at Port Sudan airport, the delights of Port
Sudan Duty Free shop (Persil!), Dave & Tom sneaking beer aboard the bus
& chucking the empties out before the checkpoint ( naughty ) and of
course the last night Pirate's fancy dress party onboard and the
weirdest dancers !! Not quite sure what the dive guide made of it all
!!! Thanks to Jerry, Fiona and Garry for the pictures.
Congratulations Darren ! Your now an Open Water/Advanced Diver - all that training in South Africa and in Tenerife really paid off, you were a pleasure to teach, come back and see us soon. March 2007:

Jan/February: NEWS : We have been pretty busy with our new project, giving a makeover to our villa and Dive Centre - we have decided to put in a swimming pool and re-tile patios and wet area for the dive centre, its quite a big project and will take a while longer but I am sure all will be worth it in the end. A very special thanks to the help received and especially Phil McIntosh for being such a good lumberjack and giving up his holiday/dive time to get stuck in ( see picture ). Also all our divers who fitted in around the JCB etc....................... In between all this visited China - had a great time a very different destination, no diving I'm afraid and very cold minus 4C grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Just like to say thanks to Clive and Maggie Rolf and his group from Kingsdown Divers BSAC for such a good laugh and so nice to meet all you paramedics too. Always a pleasure to have a group that's so well organised especially as I didn't feel up to much with the dreaded cough that everyone seems to have ! See you later in the year for the trip to El Heirro. Also a special thanks to Ray Lewis for the Tai Chi DVD I promise to get Graham to have a go, pictures may follow !!! And for returning yet again to dive with us must be 6 years now. A big 'well done' to Teresa Parkinson who did so well in her PADI Open Water Course - keep taking the sea sickness pills Teresa it will get easier believe me. Happy New Year 2007 to all our friends and customers - Just a few of our partygoer's in Adeje seeing in the New Year in style.
Christmas Day - Cave Dive Exploration Project: We had some SPECIAL GUESTS join us for Christmas this year, the well known Cave Diver MARTYN FARR and his partner HELEN RIDER they came over to explore the infamous cave at Palm Mar where several people have unfortunately died in the past due to entering an environment without adequate training. I am sure many of our regular customers know the area, we call it Las Morenas due to the rather large congregation of Moray Eels that live there too. So on Christmas day with the sea mirror smooth and brilliant sunshine we took them to explore the cave's secrets, lots of preparation and much needed prior planning were all taken into account and so the adventure began.... Look out for a full write up and exciting pictures soon in a UK diver magazine. Preparations and kit for the cave exploration :
